Helping Kids Recognize, Express, and Regulate Their Feelings

Young children often experience strong emotions without the words to explain them. That mismatch between “what I feel” and “how I express it” is where many outbursts begin.

This section teaches kids to:

  • Notice and name feelings in the body
  • Understand that emotions rise and fall like waves
  • Build confidence in handling even the “big” feelings

When we teach this through play and connection, children learn:
“Feelings are not scary. They are signals. And I can handle them.”
